Sports Massage Therapy

What is a sports massage?

Sports massage therapy is specifically geared towards athletes.  These massages treat and prevent sports-related injuries.  They are usually done before and/or after an athletic event.

Pre-event sports massages

A great way to prepare your body for a game, race or other athletic activity.  This is best done 20-60 minutes before an event so our massage therapist can maximize therapy’s effectiveness and your can perform your best.

Post-event sports massages

Can be thought of as a “cool down” after an athletic event.  It is as important as a “warm up” is for the prevention of injury.  Post-event sports massages reduce inflammation and muscle soreness and minimize the threat of future injury.
